Burnout Paradise Review

Burnout Paradise has been out for a year now and you might wondering why I am reviewing it now, well I’ll explain. Burnout Paradise over the year that it has been out on the market has had some great updates that keeps players coming back to play some more. As for me I picked it up just recently like around Thanksgiving break. Now Burnout Paradise is different from the other games in the Bunrout series, this one moves away from racing just on a track and putting you in a city for you to explore and do all different kinds of events. One of the main things they still kept from the Burnout series is the ability to crash into other cars. The game is very easy to get a hang of after a while of just driving around the city. This game has no loading screen so that’s always a plus even when you’re choosing to play online there still no loading screens. After doing events you will unlock new cars that are used for races, stunts, or for crashes. The graphics look really good especially if you are playing in HD, the graphics were the best for it’s time and still looks good today. The soundtrack is ok but if you want to play some of your own music both the PS3 and the 360 version allows you to play your own music. There’s also even more content that’s going to be released in the upcoming months, that’s also another great reason to play this game right now.

I really enjoyed playing this game normally I’m not too big into driving games but this one really made me get back into them. The new updates made me pick this title up even if it was a little late still a great game when I got it. I did play the demo back in Dec. 07 and I liked it but never got around to buying the game, I’m glad that I decided to pick it up. Criterion Games is doing a really great job with making new content for the game, the content that will be released later in the year is pretty cool. If you want to check out some of the new content that they’re going to release soon click here. Criterion Games has also released the full version of the game on the Playstation Network, so now you can download the game and just play it off your PS3 hard drive instead of going to pick up a copy at the store. I really like the how much support Criterion Games is giving this game, makes you wonder why don’t other developers do it.

EA and Criterion Games are also going to re-release Burnout Paradise with an updated version, so if you still haven’t picked up Burnout Paradise you might want to check this one out. You can still pick up the game now if you don’t want to wait and download the upgrades. They’re also gonna release this game on the PC so if you don’t have a PS3 or Xbox 360 you can now pick it up for the PC. For more information on the updated version of Burnout Paradise click here.
