My thoughts on PlayStation Home Beta and Open Beta Info

During the Thanksgiving weekend I got a code to get into the PlayStation Home closed beta and I gotta say, after actually trying it out, it’s not that bad. There wasn’t much to see yet because it was still a closed beta, but if it can be worked on, it will come out great.

As I was walking around just visiting places I saw a trailer being played on a huge screen, which is cool if they change the trailer every now and then. There’s a bowling area with some alleys to bowl; inside there are also some pool tables and some arcade machines which is really cool because you can play with other people that are there. There’s also a mall that is going to be a place where you buy stuff for your character and your room, and there are some chess tables on the second floor of it as well. The other area is the movie theater that, at the time I went to visit, was playing a movie about the new SOCOM game. PlayStation Home is a nice place to meet other people that like the same games as you or just to hang out after playing a game.

Now let’s talk about the open beta. Sony recently announced that on Thursday 12/11, it will open the beta to every PS3 owner. So now if you still haven’t gotten into the PlayStation Home beta you can finally check it out and Sony has also announced the other rooms that it’s going to add and lots of other stuff.
