Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix or SSFIITHDR for short (even that’s a little long) just recently came out on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade last week and it’s time for a review. This game is an HD upgraded version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo with online play and also the new look of the characters. If you have played any of the other Street Fighter II games that are out there you can tell that this version looks different. That’s because Capcom decided to redraw the characters instead of using the same game sprites from the game before. If you want an example of what I’m talking about, click here for a picture.
I have been a really big fan of Street Fighter ever since I played the SNES version back in the early ’90s and this version is pretty good for any fan to try out or to play before the new Street Fighter IV comes out.
I liked how they added more to the ending animations after you win the World Tournament in Single Player mode. I also like how the game looks like now. The characters and the environments are now all animated and that’s how the game got the upgrade to HD, but if you like the classic sprites you can go to the options menu and change it. Online mode is great - you can play with other people and even make a small tournament with 8 people. The only problems I had was when I was playing online and sometimes it would find a match but it would already be over or it would not connect to the other player sometimes - but other than that it’s still pretty good. So if you want to play a fighting game or you’re a fan of Street Fighter this is a really great title to play until Street Fighter IV and also the PS3 version is gonna get updated later on to add trophies too.

What about the new music? I have a vested interest.
But seriously, hopefully you enjoyed it. We consider it very integral to the overall feel of the game!

The remixed music was great too I was just wondering why they didn’t add the main theme to the game.
