My thoughts on Guitar Hero: World Tour

Okay, so recently I got the chance to play the new Guitar Hero game, and I have to say it was okay - but not the best compared to what Rock Band has offered.
Whenever I hit the drums, the pads didn’t respond well. I thought that they needed to be calibrated due to the TV but then I told my friend and he said he was having no problem playing the guitar so from that I already knew the drums were messed up. One more thing about the drums is that the bass pedal doesn’t have anywhere to stick, so after a while of playing the pedal will move around and you will have to put it back to where it’s supposed to go. Other than that the guitar play is still good the same from Guitar Hero III and the vocals are like Rock Band and other karaoke games.
In my opinion Red Octane really could have taken some more time adjusting the drums since they make great guitars but at least they did release a program for your PC so you can try to adjust your drum kit - but I wonder how many people will figure out how to do that. The guitar was great, the new sliding buttons are a great addition for solos, but I wonder why they changed the strum bar - it kinda looks like the Rock Band one in a way. I always liked the Guitar Hero strum compared to the Rock Band one when you really have to play through a lot of notes.
If you have the Rock Band set you can play the new Guitar Hero game with it - all you have to do is buy the game by itself and try it out. Guitar Hero: World Tour is okay, but I prefer Rock Band. I will be reviewing the new Rock Band 2 after I get though playing the tour mode and a couple of online sets with my friends - be on the look out for those.

Have you NOT heard about the huge GHWT fiasco?
There were over 100,000 sets that were not set right at the manufactures and ship out to stores. So when you play them, you have to hit hard for it to register them thus breaking them.
I had to pay for mine to be shipped back and hopefully they will send a new one…

I haven’t heard because I don’t own it but I have heard that it has problems and it sucks that you have to pay for the shipping while when it came to Rock Band it was free.
