After so many delays to finish up this game, like other games coming out or busy with other stuff I have finally been able to finish up Metal Gear Solid 3. Now Metal Gear Solid 3 takes place before any of the Metal Gear games its a prequel to the whole series. This time around you play as Naked Snake who then turns into Big Boss in the later games and is the father of Solid Snake the one you play as in the other games like Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2.
This time around you are playing in a forest instead of buildings like in the past games. This game really focuses on you surviving in the forest from what you can collect, like hunting for your food so you can keep your stamina up and that helps you out restore your health. You will also have to take care of your injuries like heal your broke bone and removing bullets from your body if you were shot. You will also use camouflage when your in the forest so you can trick enemies or try to get around them with out being seen.
I thought this game was longer than the others, you will go through many different parts of the forest and other places around it, even go into a dream world. The bosses in this game are very original you have to think about how you are going to take them down by using all of your items you collected and/or watch how they act during the battle. You will meet a lot of different characters as you play through this game and some that help you out through the whole game, you will even see some characters from the past games like Raiden from MGS 2 even though he’s not suppose to be there.
This game was very different, hard at first, but great after you get the hang of it, this will not disappoint fans of the series and you will also know more about Big Boss. This is the last game from the Metal Gear Solid Essential Collection and after playing thought Metal Gear Solid 1-3 I have become a fan of the series and I can’t wait to play Metal Gear Solid 4, that I will be playing after I finish Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops for the PSP a sequel to this game.
