Upcoming Playstation 3 Firmware Update

The Playstation 3 is getting a firmware update soon, probably next week. The updated firmware version 2.20 will include Blu-ray Disc Profile 2.0 functionality which will add Blu-ray Disc Live to the PS3. BD-Live will allow you to view even more features on Blu-ray Disc that have interactive features. For example some disc might have downloadable video content, ringtones, games and some other extras, something that new Blu-ray discs might have later this year. The first Blu-ray discs that will have BD-Live ability will be The 6th Day and Walk Hard that are going to be released on April 8th. This update will also include the ability to transfer Photo and Music playlist from the PS3 to the PSP, a update to the DivX support, being able to resume playing a movie where you left off even if you ejected the disc, the ablilty to use your PSP as a remote control to play music files on your PS3 without turning on your TV, a update to the Internet Browser that allows to save files to your PS3 hard drive and faster page loading times. This firmware update is great for PS3 users that use there PS3 for  entertainment and media since this update will make the PS3 the first Blu-ray player to have BD-Live support, so the PS3 is a great Blu-ray player since it keeps on getting updates from Sony.
