Rock Band Guitar Problems

Well like most people out there that got Rock Band on the first day they had problems with there guitars so did I. The first thing I did was to try to return it to the store, that didn’t happened because they didn’t have any extras (even though they told me they were going to get more and I would be able to exchange it). So I went online to look up a number to call so I can try to get it exchange. I called the number and they figured out that I need a new guitar and they went on to start shipping me out a new one. I only had one problem with that call and that is that they had to get my credit card information to make sure I sent back the guitar I had or else they would charge me for the new guitar there were sending, what am I going to do with a broken guitar keep it? No, so of course I would send it back. I mean I couldn’t play the guitar and I still have to wait for the new one so I can play the guitar part of the game which is going to be until the end of the week from what they said(if I wanted faster shipping it would of cost more and there was no way I was going to pay more especially since I was suppose to get a working guitar with the bundle). All I would have to say is that EA, MTV Games or whoever had the guitars made and shipped out should of checked if they worked and it wouldn’t of caused all these problems.

man are you stupid. my guitar broke too. you need to contact EA and they will send u a new guitar gree of charge. the reasson that they ask for your credit card is so if your guitar is not really broken, they send u a new one and then you have 2. its procedure and its free. man you muist be like 13 or just very very slow

yes i know the guitar is free of charge and I already know about the credit card information because i did call them but they do charge you if you want it ship faster.Also UPS might of lost my new guitar because EA said i should of gotten it by now and they can’t figure out where it is right now

don’t ask for them to send you another guitar their is a problem with all the rock band guitars all around the world, i just got told today that they are doing call backs on the rock band for ps2 so i had it shipping but then they had to send it to EA to fix the problems on all of the guitars, but if you took it to the store and they shipped it to EA then you won’t get it until feb, or march but i get mine on new years day, if you got any questions email me at frieske@clearlake.k12.ia.us

Ok I have already got a new guitar and sent my old one back and Rock Band is only sold for right now in the US no where else. If you really want a fixed guitar just go to EAs website or call EA instead of waiting for the call back.

I had the “won’t strum down” problem and fixed it. I took the screws off of the back of the guitar and took the back off (unplug it first). When I did, I noticed that a white wire was folded, pressing against the contacts on the down strum side of the inside of the strum bar. When I had the back of the guitar off it strummed fine. Not so with the back of it attached. Then, I moved the white wire over (away from the strum bar), put the back on and, it worked like new again. I haven’t had any problems since, and I’ve used it a lot too. I hope this helps some of you out there.

I used the online rock band support to return my guitar and EA sent me an empty box to ship my guitar in. The guitar arrived at the destination according to UPS. Now EA sends me another empty box? Now I have been without a Rock Band Guitar for a month. EA customer support sucks!!!

yea online is complicated its better to call EA they send you a new guitar and you use the same box to send your old one back
