There are a variety of services that enable you to talk about whatever you’re looking at online with other people. The problem with a lot of these services is that they develop communities of their own that are closed and not open to the general public. This is fine if there’s a reason why you’d only want to share your thoughts with a specific group of product users, but if you want your comments to spread to a wider audience, you need to expand beyond a product community and communicate through a popular social network. Right now, Twitter is where it’s at, and TBUZZ lets you talk about the sites that you visit through Twitter.

You could always just use Twitter directly or through a third-party service to compose your thoughtful tweets about Web sites, but TBUZZ brings everything together nicely. The service works through a bookmarklet, and when you click on it, a window pops up over the site that you’re currently visiting that enables you to quickly post a tweet about it. A shortened version of the URL will even be included and you can also select text to use. In addition to posting your own thoughts on Twitter, you’ll also see what other Twitter users have said about the site.

Do Not Highlight Newly Installed Programs In Windows 7

When you install a new program in Windows 7, the name of the program on the Start menu is highlighted in a different color. Some people might like this feature, more so those who are new to the computing world. However, if you are more of an advanced user, you might find this more of an annoyance.

You can easily disable this feature using the steps described below:

Right click an empty area of the taskbar and click Properties.
Click the Start Menu tab.
Click the Customize button.
Uncheck the Highlight newly installed programs option.
Click OK.

The majority of my work is done digitally and I hardly ever have to print anything. In fact, I wish I didn’t need a printer, but sure enough, I end up having to print something just often enough that it wouldn’t make any sense for me to get rid of my printer. I only print things a handful of times per month, so I’m not a big printer, but some people I know go through paper like you wouldn’t believe. They print anything and everything, and besides wasting ink, this approach also wastes paper. Maybe you do legitimately have to print a lot of stuff, but there are probably elements of the things you’re printing that don’t need to be there. A service called PrintFriendly helps you to get the most out of your resources.

The idea is that the site can optimize any Web site to become much more appropriate to print. Their representation of a page will likely be different than what you see when you normally visit the site. You can remove images, delete unwanted sections, and print your customized version of the content. This formatting can also be sent to a PDF file, and a bookmarklet exists to make the functionality easily accessible. Content providers can even get a PrintFriendly button for their sites. The service didn’t seem to work correctly in every situation, but I like the goal behind what it’s trying to do.

Install New Fonts In Windows 7

When you install a new program, it usually comes with its own fonts. For example, when you install Microsoft Office, it has its own fonts. If you search the Web, you will find numerous sites that offer several other fancy fonts, some available for free and some for a small charge.

When you find a new font you want to try, you need to know how to install it. As you can see from the steps listed below, the process is very simple. Before you proceed make sure you close all programs.

Download and unzip the new font.
Click the Start button, type font, and click Fonts. The Fonts window will appear.
Drag the new font file into the Fonts window.

That’s all there is to it. Once you drag the font file into the Fonts window, it is automatically installed.

Show Drawing Gridlines In Word 2007

Each page in Word is divided into an invisible grid. When you create an object, it is lined up against the nearest gridlines.

If you have a difficult time lining up drawing objects in Word, you can display the drawing gridlines to tweak positioning. The drawing gridlines are the thin lines that appear on your on-screen document in Print Layout view.
