Sony Faces Fresh Spyware Claims

Reuters reports (via Silicon.com):
The Texas attorney general said on Wednesday [Dec. 21] that he added a new claim to a lawsuit charging Sony BMG Music Entertainment with violating the state’s laws on deceptive trade practices by hiding “spyware” on its CDs.

More Lawsuits Planned Against Sony BMG

As I predicted, the EFF will file a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Sony BMG for the problems caused by the First4Internet XCP CDs - it is also filing for the problems caused by the SunnComm MediaMax CD copy protection software.
