PowerPoint – Quickly Disable Animations in Your Presentation
In the following PowerPoint 2007 tip, you’ll learn how to quickly disable all animations within your presentation.
Adding animation to your slides is a great way to help get your point across as well as spice up your presentation. However, in some cases, animation may not be appropriate. For example, if delivering a presentation to a group of executives who just want to get down to business and don’t care about seeing animations.
If you previously created a presentation that includes animation, you don’t have to go through the presentation and remove them all. Instead, you can quickly and temporarily disable your animations. The steps below describe how to disable animations within PowerPoint 2007.
- Within your presentation, click the Slide Show tab on the ribbon.
- Within the Set Up group, click the Set Up Slide Show button.
- The Set Up Show window appears. Underneath ‘Show options’, select the Show without animation option.
- Click OK.
Now you can run your presentation without the animations. When you need the animations again, simply repeat the steps above to clear the Show without animation check box.
