If your Inbox is overflowing with email, you can easily sort it to find those important messages. In Outlook, you can sort email by simply clicking a column header (To, From, Subject, Received, Size, etc.). Clicking the column header a second time sorts the messages between ascending and descending order. The sorting capabilities of Outlook don’t end there.

You can also sort by multiple columns. For example, you can sort by Subject and Received. Click the first column by which you want to sort, then while holding down the Shift key, click the second column by which you want to sort. You can repeat these steps to add up to four sort columns. Again, clicking a second time toggles the sort between ascending and descending order.
