Many people like having the AM/PM symbols beside the time shown in the System Tray. If these symbols are not visible, you can easily configure Windows 7 to display them using the steps described below:
- Click Start and type intl.cpl in the search box and press Enter. The Regional and Language Options window appears.
- Click the “Addition Settings” button.
- Click the Time tab.
- Add tt to the value of “Long time” (HH:mm:ss) so it appears as HH:mm:ss tt.
- Click the Apply button.
