Is New Twitter More Delicious Than New Coke?

Are you on #newtwitter yet? Yeah, me neither — kinda. I have a couple of different accounts on Twitter, including this one (which I very rarely use). Either way, at least I was able to create a screencast for y’all today! Sadly, my personal account still doesn’t have the new Twitter.

Being able to see all of the responses in-line to a specific tweet is very cool, folks. It’s a great way to further a conversation and connect people to each other. Clicking a video in a tweet and having it show up right there on the same page is also a huge plus. However, the related content feature is by far one of my favorites.

When you click a tweet, the details pane shows additional information related to the author or subject. Depending on the tweet’s content, you may see: replies, other tweets by that user, a map of where a geotagged tweet was sent from, and more.

I can quickly find out a wealth of information about someone I happen to see on Twitter. This will allow you to easily decide if this is someone you want to follow and get to know.

Finding your way around and managing the information you want to see is just one hell of a lot simpler now with this new layout. Kudos, Twitter. Now… we need to discuss getting this on my actual account. What seems to be the holdup?
