Turn Off Smart Window Arrangement In Windows 7
Windows 7 includes a new feature called Smart Window Arrangement that lets you minimize and maximize a window by dragging it up and down. For example, to minimize a window, simply drag it down. If you find that you never use this feature, you can disable it through the Windows registry as described below.
- Click the Start button.
- Type Regedit and press Enter.
- Within the Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER Control Panel Desktop.
- Set the WindowsArrangementActive value to 0.
- Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
