Create A Custom Motion Path In PowerPoint 2007
In a previous tip, I showed you how to add a motion path to a graphic object in PowerPoint 2007. A motion path is a line, defined by you that a graphic object follows on a slide. For example, a graphic object can move from the left side of a slide to the right. PowerPoint includes some basic motion paths. However, you have the ability to create custom motion paths.
To create a custom motion path in PowerPoint 2007:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation.
- Select the graphic object.
- Select the View tab on the Ribbon and then click the Custom Animation button.
- Click Add Effect and point to Motion Paths, Draw Custom Path, and select Scribble.
- Place the mouse pointer next to the graphic object and draw the line you want the object to follow.
- Click the Play button at the bottom of the custom animation task pane to test the motion path.
