Remove Animation From A PowerPoint Presentation

Animation within a presentation may not always be appropriate. For example, if you are presenting to a group of executives, your presentation likely does not need all the bells, whistles, and animations. On the other hand, a presentation to a large group of employees may need animation to make it more appealing to the audience.

If you create a presentation with animations and need to deliver it to an audience where animation is not apprioriate, you do not need to create two versions of the presentation. Nor, do you need to delete all your animation. What you can do is temporarily remove the animation from the slide show. To accomplish this in PowerPoint:

  1. From the Slide Show menu, select Set Up Show.
  2. From the Set Up Show dialog box, select Show without animation.
  3. Click OK to close the dialog box.

Repeat the above steps to run the slide show with animation.
