Display The Main Menu Bar In Internet Explorer 7

Posted by on Jan 4, 2010 | 24 Comments

Never fear, if you’re running Internet Explorer 7 and can’t find the Menu bar, it’s simple to find. If you only want to display the Menu bar temporarily, just press the Alt key on the keyboard and the Internet Explorer menu bar will be revealed.

If you want the Menu bar displayed permanently, click the Tools button to the far right of the browser window and click Menu Bar to always display the Internet Explorer menu bar.

It is hard to believe that Windows XP was released almost 10 years ago in August 2001 … it demonstrates Microsoft’s ability to build a reliable operating system that just flat-out works.

    Exactly what I think!

If there was a option to select between xp and win7 while buying a new computer, i dont think the numbers would be the same as its shown here.

Most of my machines are Windows 7 Capable and will run it well but I am happy still with XP as it does what I need and I already have my setup running great on XP, so I see no need to upgrade just yet. Frankly I am still running Windows 2000 on some of my Machines, does the job well and who cares, I like Windows 2000! My favourite saying “If it’s not broke, don’t go messing with it”.

Never. As you know, they’ll hafta pry my XP from my cold dead hands! Why in the Wide World of Sports would anyone “upgrade” to a resource hog? I use an Intel i7 processor, but I like have something in reserve, rather than just maintaining a bloated OS.

Thanks for all of the great comments. It seems that many still see value in running Windows XP and have no planes of changing. :-)

Probably in about 2 years. About the time Windows 8 comes out. All the older machines have to become really “old” before some will upgrade.
