Minimize The Ribbon In Office 2007
One of the first things you will notice about Word 2007, and other Office 2007 applications, is the Ribbon. The Ribbon provides you with quick access to different commands that are all logically grouped. For example, commands related to fonts, are contained within the Font group. However, one of the downsides of the Ribbon is that it takes up quite a bit of space, space that you could be using to view your documents.
You can minimize the Ribbon while you are working on your documents using the two simple steps below.
- Click Customize Quick Access Toolbar.
- Click the Minimize the Ribbon option.
With the Ribbon minimized, the groups of commands are hidden from view. However, you can still access the commands while the Ribbon is still minimized. For example, to configure fonts, click the Home tab, and within the Font group, select the appropriate font options. When you click back to your document, the Ribbon is minimized again.
