Print PowerPoint Handouts In Word 2007

If you need to create handouts from your PowerPoint slides, you can create more detailed handouts by printing them in Word. PowerPoint makes this easy to do by including an option that allows you to create handouts in Word.

To create handouts in Word:

  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation.
  2. Click the Microsoft Office button , point to Publish, and click Create Handouts in Microsoft Office Word.
  3. Within the Send to Microsoft Office Word dialog box, select the page layout that you want.
  4. Select one of the following:
    • To paste content that you want to remain static, or unchanged, when the content in the original PowerPoint 2007 presentation is updated, click Paste, and then click OK.
    • To ensure that any updates that occur to the original PowerPoint 2007 presentation are reflected in the Office Word 2007 document, click Paste Link, and then click OK. If you select this option, do not move the Word handout file because the link may break.
  5. Open Word and print the handouts.
