- Open Microsoft Word.
- Select View and click Zoom.
- Choose the desired zoom settings.
- Click the Office Button, point to Save As and click Word Template.
- Name the template normal1.dot.
- Close Word.
- Navigate to: Documents and Settings \ %user% \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ Templates
- Rename the existing normal.dot to normal old.dot
- Rename normal1.dot to normal.dot.
