Wrap Text Around A Table In Word 2007

If you work with pictures and images in Word, you are likely familiar with the text-wrapping feature, which lets you configure how the picture or image appears with the text around it. What you may not know is that you can also use the text-wrapping feature with your tables. For example, you can configure text to appear around a table as opposed to just above and below.

To wrap text around a table in Word 2007:

  1. Within your document, select the table for which you want to configure text wrapping.
  2. Under Table Tools, on the Layout tab, within the Table group, click Properties.
  3. Under Text Wrapping, click Around.
  4. Click Positioning under Text Wrapping to configure additional options such as: horizontal and vertical positioning of the table, distance of the table from surrounding text, etc.
