Word 2007 lets you compare two documents side by side, as opposed to flipping between them. This is especially helpful when you are comparing the differences between two documents because you can scroll through both documents at the same time.
To compare two documents side by side in Word 2007:
- Open the documents that you want to compare.
- On the View tab, within the Window group, click View Side by Side.
- To scroll both documents at the same time, on the View tab, within the Window group, click Synchronous Scrolling.
When you are finished comparing the document, you can close the Side by Side view by clicking the View Side by Side option on the View tab within the Window group.
