Not to sound like an advert for alternate technology, but seems kind of frivolous nowadays when all you have too do is get the add-on for Firefox called “DownloadHelper” and pull down the *.mp4 straight from YouTube through your browser. Combine Windows MovieMaker with a good DVDRW, and all of a sudden you got a DVD of your favorite videos playable on pretty much home DVD player. While I haven’t tried it with Linux, Firefox and DownloadHelper is absolutely available for Linux and MacOS.
