Screenr

Recording screencasts used to be a rather difficult task, but not anymore. Gone are the days when complicated desktop software was required to make even the most simple screencast, and they’ve been replaced by a time where an abundance of Web-based screencast tools are ripe for the picking. I’ve checked out quite a few of them, and I always think that the wall has been hit in terms of the simplicity and power that can be offered. Of course, this is foolish because you never know what you’re going to see next. Screenr proves this to be the case.

The service pitches itself as providing instant screencasts for Twitter, and while that may be true, it also just provides the ability to create instant screencasts in general. Screenr is completely online, so whether you have a Mac or a PC, you’ll be fine. The small tool that pops up when you’re ready to record can be resized and customized to record the video and audio that you want, and it’s perfect for the job. Once recorded, your screencasts can be shared and played online in multiple ways, and they can even be viewed on the iPhone. Yes, iPhone support helps to make anything cooler.

So far kool app. Problem I am having is I can’t seem to get the taskbar and windows orb to get included in the screen capture area…. the box won’t drag that low. Any suggestions. The other issue that sucks a bit is not post editing or uploading after self post editing. Basically what you record is what you get.
