Disable Security Alerts In Windows 7

Windows 7, like its predecessor, displays visible alerts when it thinks your computer is at risk. For example, if your firewall settings are incorrect, Windows 7 displays a pop-up alerting you to the potential security risk.
If you find certain alerts annoying, you can turn them off on an individual basis, as described below.
- Open the Control Panel.
- Click System and Security.
- Click Action Centre.
- Click the Change Action Centre settings option.
- Select the areas for which you want to turn off security alerts. For example, select Network firewall to prevent Windows from sending pop-ups regarding firewall settings.
- Click OK.
