Word lets you create active links within a document to objects such as graphics, Excel worksheets, etc. With active links, any changes to the linked objects are reflected within your document. You can even configure Word to automatically update the links for you.
By turning on the Update automatic links at Open option, Word will automatically update any information within your document that is linked to other objects. However, there may also be times when you need to manually update links.
To manually update links Word 2007:
- Within your document, click the Office button and click Prepare.
- Click Edit Links to Files.
- Select the link you want to update.
- Click the Update Now option.
