Chirps

I’ve been featuring a lot of online tools lately that can be used with Twitter and I don’t expect this trend to stop in the near future. Twitter continues to increase in popularity, which means that many of us are looking for new ways to use the service. As of right now, text has to be the most popular way to communicate on Twitter, but it may not be that way forever. A number of third-party services focused on audio and video have emerged and hooked into Twitter in interesting ways. Chirps is a service that helps to bring audio to Twitter.
With Chirps, you can either record some audio on the site yourself or upload a file that’s already been recorded. In fact, Chirps can also be used with your iPhone. Once you add a message to your audio, you can send it out to your Twitter stream. I like the integration, and using audio on Twitter is nice because sometimes text just doesn’t do the job well enough. Go record some chirps - we’ll be listening.
