Drag And Drop Text Editing In Outlook 2007

Posted by on Jul 17, 2009 | No Comments

Using Drag and Drop Text Editing, you can move and copy selected text within an email message using the drag and drop method. Select the text you want to move or copy (this can be a word, sentence or paragraph). Point to the highlighted text, hold down the Ctrl key, and drag the text to the new location.

Now you can see why this is referred to as Drag and Drop Text Editing. If you never use this method to move text within an Outlook message, you can disable it using the process listed below.

  1. Within Outlook, click the Tools menu and then click Options.
  2. Click the Mail Format tab.
  3. Under Editor options, click Editor Options.
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Click the Allow text to be dragged and dropped option to select or clear it.
  6. Click OK.
