Add Special Characters In Word 2007

Have you ever wondered how to add a character such as a “©” or “¢” to the text in your Word documents? Your first thought may be to look on the keyboard but you will not find any keys on the keyboard containing any of these characters.
These types of characters are referred to as special characters in Word. You add a special character using the steps that are outlined below:
- Open your Word document.
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the special character.
- On the Insert tab, within the Symbols group, click Symbol.
- Click More Symbols.
- Click the Special Characters tab.
- Select the character you want to add and click Insert.
- Click Close.
