SlideServe

A lot of people have tried to suggest that PowerPoint presentations are dead, but I don’t think that’s totally true. Sure, many of us have been exposed to PowerPoint presentations that made us want to gouge our eyes out, however, that pain and suffering can be attributed to how the user created the presentation and not to the software itself. For as many bad presentations that I’ve seen, I’ve also seen some very good ones. These PowerPoint presentations may not always be useful when a speaker is communicating with an audience live and in person, but think about how useful they could be before or after the fact. SlideServe takes PowerPoint presentations online for everyone to see.

I’ve personally discovered that I enjoy going through presentations on my own instead of relying on the presenters to take me through them. In other words, I can see the usefulness of this service, and hopefully you can, too. Viewers will enjoy looking through what the site has to offer, and presenters can upload their presentation and make them public or private. Once uploaded, presentations can be linked to and embedded in a variety of ways. SlideServe also preserves any added effects, so viewers will see your presentation as it was originally intended to be seen.
