Outlook 2007 will notify you when a new e-mail message is received. The alert appears above the system tray on your desktop. It will tell you the subject of the e-mail, as well as whom the sender is.
If you don’t want the alert to appear in the bottom left hand corner, you can change the position of it.
- Within Outlook, click the Tools menu and select Options.
- Select E-mail Options.
- Click the Advanced E-mail Options button.
- Click Desktop Alert Settings.
- From the Desktop Alert Settings dialog box, click Preview.
- Drag the sample Desktop Alert that appears to the appropriate location on your desktop.
Now the Desktop Alert will appear in the new location each time you receive a new e-mail message.
