Quickly Open A Second Instance Of An Application In Windows 7

Windows 7 lets you quickly launch multiple instances of an application that is currently running, assuming that the application supports multiple instances. For example, if Notepad is running, you can launch a second instance of the application.
To launch a second instance of an application, simply hold down the Shift key while you click on the application’s Taskbar icon. Windows 7 automatically opens a new instance of the application, as opposed to switching back to the current instance.
