Locating the blinking cursor in Vista can be hard given that it is so thin. If you find that you often have difficulty seeing the cursor because of its size, you can easily make the cursor thicker.
To increase the thickness of the blinking cursor in Vista:
- Open the Control Panel.
- Click Ease of Access.
- Select Optimize visual display.
- Scroll to the bottom of the window screen to the section labelled “Make things on the screen easier to see”.
- In the box next to “Set the thickness of the blinking cursor,” select a number. The larger the number, the thicker the cursor.
- Click Save.
