Outlook 2007 will notify you when a new e-mail message is received. The alert appears above the system tray on your desktop. It will tell you the subject of the e-mail, as well as whom the sender is.
If you don’t want to alert to appear in the bottom left hand corner, you can change the position of it.
- Open Outlook 2007.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options, and then click Advanced E-mail Options.
- Click Desktop Alert Settings.
- In the Desktop Alert Settings dialog box, click Preview.
- A sample Desktop Alert is displayed on your desktop.
- Drag the Desktop Alert to the location that you want.
