Hi, Chris.
I don’t know if this is an old add-on or what, but I found this and thought you might be interested.
I have a lot of music and I like to make my own album compilations as I don’t always like all the music from one artist. I recently started using Windows Media Center to listen to my music, however, it did not recognise my own albums and was showing me 500+ albums — some with just one track. I didn’t want to manually change the tags on them all as this would take me a long time. Soooo…
I found this add-on, Music Browser, that lets me select a folder (my music one in this case) and it recognizes each folder as an album. It also recognizes each sub folder as well. I can even change settings so it looks the same as the default music library in Windows Media Center. I can also add my own album artwork by simply putting a file in the folder called cover.jpg.
