Define Cell Margins In Word 2007

Setting margins in table cells can be a challenge if you are not sure how to do it. Some people may try using the ruler; however, they will soon discover that this is not the way to go. If you want to change the margins of all table cells, you need use the Table Tools tab.

The steps below describe how to change the margins of a single table cell.

  1. Place the cursor inside any cell in the table you want to modify.

  2. Click the Layout tab under the Table Tools tab.
  3. Click the Cell Margins icon in the Alignment group.
  4. Click in the Top, Bottom, Left, or Right text box and type a value or click the up/down arrows to increase or decrease the currently displayed value.
  5. Click OK.
