In a previous tip, I showed you how to change the direction of text in Word 2002. If you are using Word 2007, the steps are slightly different. As with previous versions of Word, the text must be in an AutoShape, text box, or table cell and it can be rotated ninety degrees from its current appearance.
To change the text direction in Word 2007:
- Select the AutoShape, text box or table cell containing the text for which you want to rotate.
- Word will display a ruler tab containing an option called Text Direction.
- Click the Text Direction option, and the text in the object is rotated to a different direction.
- Continue clicking until Word applies the orientation you want to apply.
