I enjoy looking at pictures of places around the world. Since I don’t get a chance to travel very often, I rely on these images to satisfy my sense of adventure. They aren’t a perfect replacement for the real thing, but they do provide a little bit of escapism. For the most part, you’ll find pictures and videos of various locations scattered all over the Internet from various sources, but a service called Pictid brings some organization to the chaos and enables you to view content that has been uploaded by the community.

Search for a spot or location that you’re interested in if you want to see what’s available. A minimal amount of information is available because the focus is placed on the pictures and videos that are present. As a part of the community, you can also upload content that you like for everyone else to see. Pictid is a simple concept, but it provides a nice way to actually view geographic locations and hot spots from all over the world.
