MixTube

When searching for videos on YouTube, have you ever come across a video that wasn’t really a video at all but instead was just a song that had a couple of pictures in the video frame? I know that I sure have. You’re more likely to encounter these so-called videos when you search for a band on YouTube, and by placing songs in video files instead of audio files, it enables people to get music on YouTube. The legality of all this is debatable, but this is the Internet that we’re talking about, so people are doing it. Of course, listening to music by watching an audio video through YouTube isn’t exactly the best experience, and that’s why MixTube has been created.

This service gives you the ability to create and share audio playlists from YouTube videos, and if you look at some of the playlists, it’s hard to even tell that YouTube is involved because the process is so seamless. To create a playlist, all you need to do is specify the YouTube videos that contain the songs that you want, arrange them how you’d like, and you’re pretty much good to go. Links to Amazon and the original video on YouTube are also present.

I created a Mixtube playlist but once saved, I see no way to add/delete to it. I emailed the webmaster but so far, no reply.
