Before an election of any sort, all you ever hear about are the poll numbers. Polls don’t always tell the whole story, but they’re the best indication that we have as to how the actual results will turn out. Polls are used in a variety of situations to try and find out what people are thinking, and they can be very illuminating. A lot of the polls that we see just involve text, but if used in the right way, polls containing pictures can be very effective and may provide insight into areas that haven’t been explored. Fotoll enables you to create picture polls.

Text can be used to describe things, but pictures actually show them to you. You can create and participate in these polls, and some of them have been quite active. Fotoll encourages discussion by enabling participants to cast their vote and explain it by commenting. You can really extract some meaningful data if you have a number of people get involved in your poll. I don’t like how you have to create an account to participate in the polls because that hinders participation to some extent, but I guess the accounts help to organize the results.
