Open The Calendar In A New Window In Outlook 2007

Posted by on Nov 14, 2008 | 2 Comments

There are times when you may want to different folders in Outlook open at the same time. For example, you may want to view your Inbox while at the same time look at your calendar. The problem is that if you are currently viewing your Inbox and the click on your calendar folder, your Inbox disappears.

To get around this inconvenience, right click your calendar (or one of the other folders) from the Folder list and click Open in New Window. By doing so, your calendar will automatically appear in its own window allowing you to easily move between your Inbox and your calendar. This also works with the other components in Outlook such as the journal and tasks.

I like this feature so i can have the Calendar and others open at the same time, allowing me to drag&drop between them and the Calendar

Problem is, I need to reset the Calendar window up every time I start Outlook.

Is there a way to have Outlook auytomiatically start up the way I had it set the last time I Exited Outlook (ie with 2 windows open)
