I’m sure that most of us have used a whiteboard at some point in our lives. If you haven’t used one in a school environment, then you’re probably used to them in the workplace. They really do give you a great way to sketch out ideas, information, and drawings, but when you use a physical whiteboard, your sharing and collaboration opportunities are pretty much limited to the people that are in the room with the whiteboard. Real whiteboards will probably never go away, but an online whiteboard called Dabbleboard brings them into the future.
The main difference between Dabbleboard and a real whiteboard is that on Dabbleboard you use your mouse to draw instead of your hand (unless you have a tablet), and since the service is online, that opens up a whole bunch of collaboration possibilities that are actually integrated in the tool. Dabbleboard can also detect when you draw shapes, and once you’ve drawn something, you can modify it as you see fit. A public library of previous drawings and a selection of toolkits are available to aid you in your quest to make the perfect whiteboard drawing.
