Update Automatic Links In Word 2002

Word lets you create active links within a document to objects such as graphics, Excel worksheets, etc. With active links, any changes to the linked objects are reflected within your document. You can even configure Word to automatically update the links for you.

By turning on the Update automatic links at Open option, Word will automatically update any information within your document that is linked to other objects. To turn on this feature in Word 2002:

  1. Within Word, click Options from the Tools menu. The Options dialog box will appear.
  2. Select the General tab.
  3. Set the Update automatic links at Open option.
  4. Click OK.
