Save A Web Page In Vista

When you stumble across a Web page that contains invaluable information, such as a favorite recipe, you can add it to your list of favorites or you can save a copy to your computer. By saving it to your computer, you can view or print it later. The only downside is that the saved copy of the Web page is not updated. You have to revisit the Web site to see any updates.

To save a Web page in Windows Vista:

  1. Launch Internet Explorer and navigate to the Web page you want to save.
  2. Click Save As from the Page menu. Internet Explorer’s Save Web page window appears.
  3. Browse to the folder where you want to save the Web page. The default location is the Downloads folder
  4. In the Save As Type box, choose the format for saving the Web page.
  5. Click the Save button.

To open the saved Web page, open the Downloads folder and double click the appropriate file.
