BitMeter is a bandwidth meter that allows you to visually monitor your Internet connection by displaying a scrolling graph that shows your upload and download speed over time.

A marvellous utility which I can not recommend highly enough. I have a number of neighbours taking advantage of my home wireless network, and insist that each keeps track of their monthly usage with BitMeter.
