Use A Single Button On Taskbar For All Open Word 2002 Documents

Each time you open a document in Word a button appears on the Taskbar. If you have multiple documents open at the same time, a button appears for each one. This makes it easy for you to switch between your documents.

However, some people may prefer to only have a single button on the taskbar, even if multiple documents are open. By configuring Word’s options, you can have a single button displayed, regardless of the number of documents open.

To perform this task in Word 2002:

  • Within Word, click Options from the Tools menu.
  • Select the View tab.
  • Clear the checkbox beside the Windows in Taskbar option
  • Click OK.
