Change The Position Of The Desktop Alert In Outlook 2007

Outlook 2007 will notify you when a new e-mail message is received. The alert appears above the system tray on your desktop. It will tell you the subject of the e-mail, as well as whom the sender is.

If you don’t want the alert to appear in the bottom left hand corner, you can change the position of it.

  1. Within Outlook, click the Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Select E-mail Options.
  3. Click the Advanced E-mail Options button.
  4. Click Desktop Alert Settings.
  5. From the Desktop Alert Settings dialog box, click Preview.
  6. Drag the sample Desktop Alert that appears to the appropriate location on your desktop.

Now the Desktop Alert will appear in the new location each time you receive a new e-mail message.
