Dear Chris,
Though I realize you are not the world’s biggest Firefox fan, I wanted to let you know about a very useful application concerning security. This app is known as WoT — you may or may not have heard of it before.
Basically, after downloading it, a small circle appears to the left of on the left side of the Firefox toolbar. The circle changes colors according to the site’s security rating: dark green means the site is secure, yellow means that you should exercise caution, and red means that you probably shouldn’t even go to the site.
Sites are rated by users for trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy, and child safety. I can’t tell you how many times this app probably saved me from a virus or malware. I just thought that if you hadn’t heard of this already, you may be interested in sharing it with your Firefox-savvy readers.

Oops, I meant for non-Firefox browsers.
Thanks.

Absolutely! WOT works on Internet Explorer, and we even have a bookmarklet for Safari and Opera users!
Check out another Lockergnome article about WOT from The Blade.
Best regards,

I use WOT and mcafee site advisor. I like both. You can never have to much protection.
