In previous tips, I’ve showed you how to insert special symbols onto a Word document. A Lockergnome reader recently submitted a question about how to insert a copyright symbol. If AutoCorrect is turned on, all you have to do is type (c) and Word will automatically change the three characters to a copyright symbol.
If AutoCorrect is turned off, you can simply press Ctrl+Alt+C. Or, if you want to use your mouse, follow these steps:
- From the Insert menu, click Symbol.
- Select the Special Characters tab.
- From the list of characters, click Copyright.
- Click OK.
