Dial2Do

Typing is so last year, people. New voice technologies have enabled us to do a wide range of things with our voices, and before you know it, we probably won’t be using our keyboards nearly as much as we are right now. I’m not completely sold on the concept of using my voice to accomplish certain technological tasks, but I do believe that this technology can be useful in some situations. Although I’ve resisted using vocal phone services before, I’m intrigued by Dial2Do.
With Dial2Do, you just dial a number, say what you want done, and then the service takes care of the task for you. What can be done? Well, as of right now, you can use your voice over the phone to set reminders, send e-mail and text messages, post updates to Twitter and Jaiku, and have an RSS feed read to you. Pretty nifty, huh? This free service lets you do quite a bit by simply making a phone call, and if nothing else, Dial2Do is a fun tool to impress people with.

This one actually looks like it will be useful. Thanks for the recommendation. Looking forward to it going out of Beta, or at least getting an invite. Can’t wait to give it a try.
And I’ve been meaning to post that your site has become daily reading. You’re doing a fantastic job.

Hi Brandon,
Thanks for the positive feedback - I head up the team developing Dial2Do, and just wanted to let you (and your readers) know that we have opened up the registration process, so you can just go ahead and sign up. We’re planning to release a number of cool services over the coming months, so hopefully you’ll get even more out of the service.
Good luck!
Alan
